POP is a 2’ x 4’ Mixed Media Canvas
This 4’ x 4’ canvas shows contrast and movement through matte vs. gloss finishes.
4’ x 4’ Mixed Media Canvas, using spray paint and acrylic paint.
Conflict v. Influence is a mixed media triptych, meant to visually illustrate how one piece (canvas) impacts the next. Each canvas (3) was created in the same way, plaster and acrylic paint on canvas.
Put together in a row, acrylic color is thrown from both directions. Although the cooler tones are represented more heavily on one side, and the warmer tones more heavily on the other - the canvas in the middle shares properties of both sides.

As a fan of the artistic style of Dr. Seuss (Theodor Seuss Geisel) myself, this piece was really fun to create. This canvas was a gift to someone to loves the stories told by Dr. Suess and who says that the book, "Oh the Places You'll Go!" changed their life.
When creating this piece I imagined all of the characters playing and living together in one world. A world where the trees are pretty fluffs of pinks and yellows, and birthday cakes are flown through air by happy singing birds.
A little bit of interpretation with the Cat From the Wrong Side of the Tracks.
Texture is fun.
Here's one for myself - and I thought, when I'm cooking in my kitchen, I'd like to look at my favorite things. Champagne. Fruit. Cheese. Wine. Olives. And more cheese.
This is the largest canvas I've done to date (3'x4') and finishing it makes me want to go bigger.
